Description
In analytical cubism, objects are broken up and reassembled — in abstracted form. A detail from a 1912 portrait of Germaine Raynal by Juan Gris shows the beginning of that movement, which was to have a great influence on the art world. These earrings apply the cubist concept to the profile of a face.
